After several days of meticulously hand painting each continents and star, the final results truly speak for themselves and I think elevate this watch into a completely different league/category.

The world map is now in colour, a huge leap from the dull grey of the original.

Thanks, we considered doing an effect in the white (sun) part of the ring to compliment the stars but decided to leave it blank. We also discussed putting a board of ocean around the continents to simulate the beaches but again thought this was overkill and left it out

Thanks, the Patek is something special and with the process of applying enamel they achieve a more abstract effect for the earth etc compared to the more detailed version i do which is hand painted

Would have been good if you could have painted clouds in a blue sky from 6 to 18.

 

That would have been cool but it is impossible for me to recolour an area without painting over the dial detail which is needed. But like the idea

 

Stunning! Before scrolling down, I was thinking splashes of color here and there. The gradation on the continents, the texture, and intricacy of the stars are worthy of all the praise you get.

Wow, that's absolutely stunning. I'd been toying with getting the Omega Seamaster Worldtimer when it eventually comes out because I loved this artwork, but this is 1000x more impressive for I'm sure a fraction of the price.

 

Thanks dude, my client sent me this watch and it cost him £400gbp to have this painted - so WAY cheaper than the Omega

 

I am beyond impressed OP, so much so that I showed my kids and wife those pictures and they thought it was incredible. That is by far the highest praise I could imagine. My kids could care less about watches, and on principle anything their parents like for that matter, but they say they like the one you painted.

Again great job.
