I few months back i was contacted by a Major in the Royal Army Medical Corps to custom paint his new purchase, a Hamilton Jazzmaster GMT. As with most initial discussions there was a lot of dialogue about how he wanted it to look and the 'feel' of the final watch. The Patek Philippe 5131G White gold world time was the source of inspiration and i was asked to paint the new Hamilton in a similar way to make the world 'pop' off the dial.

Let's be frank, as beautiful and elegant the stock Hamilton dial is, it really isn't going to turn many heads - and i like that about it. However, i was so eager to also transform the watch from the ordinary to extraordinary by painting the embossed continents and adding some cosmic stars to the 12hour black outer ring to simulate the night sky.

After several days of meticulously hand painting each continents and star, the final results truly speak for themselves and I think elevate this watch into a completely different league/category.

Let me know what you think and i hope you like how my artwork transformed this awesome watch.

Cheers
Chris

Wow Chris. You took an ordinary watch to extraordinary.

The world map is now in colour, a huge leap from the dull grey of the original.

Fantastic work mate. [emoji106]

You did an incredible job on the dial! That looks outstanding! Love the added detail of the stars as well!

Thanks, we considered doing an effect in the white (sun) part of the ring to compliment the stars but decided to leave it blank. We also discussed putting a board of ocean around the continents to simulate the beaches but again thought this was overkill and left it out

Wow!!! That is so cool! Amazing work! That same Patek is a favorite of mine as well, so I love to see something like this is possible!

Thanks, the Patek is something special and with the process of applying enamel they achieve a more abstract effect for the earth etc compared to the more detailed version i do which is hand painted

Wow, that's absolutely stunning. I'd been toying with getting the Omega Seamaster Worldtimer when it eventually comes out because I loved this artwork, but this is 1000x more impressive for I'm sure a fraction of the price.
