Drilled lugs and Spring bar question

I have a MM200 that came with factory rubber strap. I wore this watch on NATO for awhile but I wanted to switch straps. I have a few aftermarket straps I wanted to try. When I used the Natos I just used the factory spring bars. Turns out the factory spring bars are too fat to go through any aftermarket straps I have. So I used the spring bars that came with the aftermarket straps. They seem too thin and click and clack around in the drilled holes because they don’t fit properly. The only strap that works decently is a Hirsch Robby with quick release spring bars. I said all that to ask this. What are the best spring bars to use for this watch so I can use after market straps and avoid clicking and not have to worry about the spring bars not being seated and the watch falls off? Thanks.

The drilled lug holes take a bigger diameter spring bar ends then the non, equal stronger construction. Just don’t mix the Two styles of spring bars, with a Watch that does not! Vance.

Watch gecko has slim fat style bars for seikos it’s what I use on my seiko divers for rubber straps with diameters too small for seiko bars. They are good bars. May find something similar on eBay. Big thing is the 1.1mm tip.

Seiko fat bars have 1.1mm tips...So for your Artem straps ( standard spring bars ) you need a 1.8mm body with 1.1mm tips...Artem does offer the Fat spring bar option.

I purchase Artem straps with standard spring bars and then buy the appropriate spring bars.

Lots available on e bay....I use the seller outletgoods for many of my spring bars.

Have a good day.
Thank you both. This is the exact answer I was looking for.

Cousins UK do 2.0mm diameter spring bars with the 1.1mm pip.

I haven't found any 1.8mm diameter bars with the big pip though.

I have always managed on a leather or rubber strap to fit the 2.0mm diameter bars though.

Just chiming in to say I found this thread helpful. I love my white Shogun on a genuine Tropic strap, but realized as soon as I mounted it that I need skinny/fat springbars. There was discussion of correct springbar diameter in a blog right on Tropic's site, and Tropic confirms there that 2mm is the correct diameter bar for its straps. I think these bars from Cousins UK look like the best option for my application, so I just placed the order a moment ago.

I'm glad I ran a search and found this thread before posting a new thread with questions. One look at the photo below that I was about to include in my post should give you an idea for the questions I was gonna ask :)

The best option I could find was on eBay through outletgoods. They are labeled as single shoulder 18mmX.9mm. Crafter blue also makes a strap for this watch that comes with spring bars. I assume they will be a perfect fit. Here are the eBay bars.

Be sure you have drilled lugs though before you use this type though.

The tips needed are 1.2mm. Seiko uses 1.1mm tipped bars and those have a tendency to click around in the watches. This clicking drove me nuts in one of my tunas.

If you have drilled lugs you just need a set of shoulderless spring bars with 1.2mm tips if the watch is not drilled lugged then a pair of shouldered spring bars with 1.2mm tips.

Here is what the 1.2mm tipped 2.5mm diameter bars look like against the OEM 1.1mm tipped bars in a Tuna.

The 1.2mm bar is on the top and the OEM bar on the bottom

What the 1.2mm bar looks like in a Tuna. It allows more of the tip to be in the hole in order to add more stability.

If you are using a band that cannot use a 2.5mm diameter spring bar then look for a1.5mm or 1.8mm diameter spring bar with a 1.2mm tip
