So I'm going to buy the First Ro lex.
Because it will be the first rolex of mine so I want to SCREAM everybody that "I'M OWNING A ROLEX". So I have to decide to buy a ROLEX that everyone can noitice ASAP that it is a ROLEX.

P/S: Sorry but Yes, It is what I really want and one of the main purpose (FOR ME ONLY) to buy LUXURY WATCH, so please do not say "BUY WHAT YOU LIKE", "Don't buy watch for others...". Thank you guys

I have come down to 3 option
1/ Submariner ==> Most popular and respect Rolex from WIS
Image

2/ Explorer ==> Most Versatile and best price for Entry

3/ Datejust ==> Best Dress and Best Recognization !

As I said, Those 3 Are most popular Rolex. But I do not know which of the is more ..."Rolex" and more Well Know for NOT IN TO WATCH PEOPLE.

I really like the Julibee because for most people when they see Julibee they feel ..."Rolex", I'm not sure about Oyster Bracelet. But I'm also want some thing Iconic but not too Boring and too Formal and. I know it is a hard criteria, That is why I need you guys Help, Thanks alot

I think you should consider your options and check out what's available on alibarberxpress. Not only is it the interwebs home of the world's finest watchmakers but it's also really cheap and you can get any rolex model you like.

You can even get rolexi with sterile dials. Which you could draw your own branding on e.g Don with a crown over your name. Using a crayon or something. Then you would have a one of a kind limited edition.

Alibabblerxpress is also a great place to buy chronographs with non chronograph movements in them and fake subdials. Quality. Not quantity. That's what it's all about.

Datejust with fluted bezel on jubilee bracelet.

Not only is it arguably the most recognized Rolex design among the general population, there are WAY TOO MANY cheap-axx homage Subs out there so if attention seeking is your sole propose of the purchase a Sub may not get the attention you're seeking.

I voted for Submariner, but really, it's a choice between Submariner and Datejust. The only real difference here is are you looking for an aesthetic that is more sporty (Submainer) or something more dressy (Datejust)? Because when it all comes down to it, both watches can pretty much go anywhere/do anything - no one's going to say boo to you if you wear a Sub at the office or a Datejust at the beach - and both have enough robustness to take pretty much any common activity you're going to put it through.

So which aesthetic do you like more: brushed finish, slab sides, Mercedes hands, & timing bezel...or more polish, a dressier bracelet, smooth bezel & the all-important cyclops (for signalling the presence of Rolex)?

EDIT: as per mui.richard, I agree that if you're going to go with a Datejust, get the fluted bezel over smooth, especially if you're looking to grab attention.

Alysandir

I was talking to one of my friends and he said that when he sees a cyclops, that’s when he “knows it’s a Rolex”. I would say a date sub would be more instantly recognizable as a Rolex than the no date sub you posted. I would say either the sub or datejust as others have mentioned. Although with how many sub homages are out there whenever I see a sub from a distance my first instinct is always to question if it is real or an homage

If screaming Rolex is your bag, then get anything gold or 2 tone.

The most “Rolex”to the majority of non WIS is the Subby, all the guys at work who retire and cash in some of their pension always buy one, well they did up to the point where Rolex marketing division decided to ration them out.

Off topic, I have always thought that the big fuss (And huge premium) over the steel Pepsi ceramic should have been lavished on the 2 tone root beer!!

Beautiful watch.

Probably not too easy for me to answer your question, although I own all three (114060, 214270, & 116138). I will say I don't wear my 116138 18K YG 36mm Datejust as often as the other two. However, my modus operandi is 180 degrees opposite of yours as I wear my watches covered by my shirt cuff and have no interest in anyone else knowing what I am wearing; I buy strictly for my own enjoyment and no one else's.

If I could keep only one watch in my collection, it would be my 214270 Explorer I as IMO it checks my primary box of understated elegance. However, if I had your point of view, I would go with the 114060 no date Submariner and never look back. Just make sure you have insurance not only on the Rolex you choose but also on yourself when someone on whom you flash your Rolex rips it off your wrist and runs off with it.

You need the yellow gold, fluted bezeled, jubileed, 50mm, green dialed model with a cyclops. People will be able to spot your Rollie from the next county. I doubt that's a stock configuration though so you may have to have Rolex make you one. I'm not sure if they have the capability but you should check and see if they could include a complication button that shoots flares too. Nothing would say "look at my watch" better than a "flare complication"

Absent that I would go fluted jubilee DJ

The Sub with the date complication screams Rolex. So if you want everyone to notice, I’d go with the SubC. The next most noticeable is probably the DJ and supposedly the most sold of the three. The Explorer 1 gets a high rating here on WUS as it’s a great everyday, every occasion wear.

^^^ 100% this!!!!

Get a 2 tone fluted dj or an all gold president day/date and rock that s__t Tony Soprano style!!! Make sure to always wear short sleeves and point out the thing to everyone you see regardless if they care or not. Because most people (like seriously 9999 out of 10000 in my area) could give a f__k less about your Rolex, so you will need to tell them!!! If all you want is to impress it might make more sense to get something other than a watch? ... Idk
