Glad to see this one found a home. I had been circling around it for quite some time on Mercari (Japanese website), I hope you bought it there and not on eBay?

Anyways, as part of my maybe-going-to-buy-maybe-not I had looked up the crystal already, it is the GS - CS640

EDIT: I'm 98% sure this is the right one, but can't give any guarantees ... but it's the one I would have bought. Measurements are 26.9 x 26.8 - you can check if this is plausible once you have the watch in hand.

I'd be very interested to find out how it goes with this one. Let me know if this was fixed easily, and show pictures of it once it is ready!

 

I snagged it of yahoo auctions Japan actually for about $100 less than it was on sale for on eBay.

Perfect, then you did it just right - the Japanese almost never sell on eBay, except resellers who offer the item at a significant markup (and once they sell it, they buy the item from the original seller and pocket the difference).

I really like the design of the Fontainebleaus, both oval and square. Always appreciate seeing pictures, especially in the fixed-up state.

 

Unless the crystal is cracked, I'd just buff it up.

Perfect. So, a slight case of "not-buyer's remorse" for me here, but it looks great on you! The horizontal brushing on the case and the vertical brushing on the dial, together with this steely grey and the form of the case makes for a really appealing watch.
