We just received a few in inventory and I filmed the black dial on bracelet on Tuesday. I plan to post to our social media early next week and will make sure I link it here. My initial impression was they looked too big next to the 38's but after trying on and having it for a few minutes without the 38 directly beside it I think it looked perfectly fine for folks that want a larger watch.

My 42mm Field Mechanical was just delivered today and I love it. I have a 7.5" wrist and have long wanted a white dial Khaki that was larger than the 38mm. Obviously how a watch wears will be very subjective but I wore a 42mm LL Bean white dial field watch for years that I loved but always wanted it to be mechanical. To my eye the 42mm is large but doesn't look ridiculous on my wrist. Here are a couple of wrist shots with the watch on a strap followed by the LL Bean quartz for reference.

While I'm always of the opinion if the watch is offered on bracelet, get the bracelet, I immediately removed the bracelet from this watch and put it on a leather stitch strap. I will keep the bracelet for options in the future but this will nearly always be on a strap of some kind. Hope this helps anyone considering the 42mm.

Not a comment directly against Hamilton, but I’ve only just realised that the 24 hour clock markings go up to 24. I’m wondering why manufacturers do this, as there’s no such things as 2400 hours in the 24 hour clock - it only goes up to 23:59:59.

Not a mystery at all. 0000 hrs is to notate the START of the day or activity and 2400 hrs is to notate when it is the END of the day or activity.
