I'm 2547 but no longer have interest purchasing this watch. When I first signed up 6 months ago, I was 5290 on the waitlist. Helm production capacity at the time was said to be 200 watches a month. So I was looking at 2 years 2 months wait.

But here we are 6 months later and the waitlist have shrunk by 2743. At this rate my turn will come up before end of this year or less than 1 year after I signed up. Either Helm increased production or many people dropped out and declining to purchase the watch. It's probably a combination of both. At any rate, I'm thankful the waitlist was long since it saved me from poor impulse purchase I might have regretted. You're welcome to have my spot on the waitlist.

Serious question, after looking at this watch on the Helm website, what would make you want to wait for this particular watch considering there are others out there readily available (and possibly better)?

Outside of being a big Helm fan, waiting a year or mor for this seems kind of crazy or a terrific way for Helm to sell affordable sports watches with basic Seiko movements. 🤔

I owned one. I’d call the bracelet many things... heavy, bulky, not especially well articulated, somewhat clunky… for sure. Spectacular… nah.
I meant the SS3 and the TS2

How about this or something similar in their very “currently available” SM catalog of affordable watches.
"Band width 20mm" like nearly every other dive watch in the universe, no thanks.

Artie Lange….two words for you, WAIT LIST.

19mm, 20mm, 22mm lug widths these days are not deal breakers for me and honestly after years of fat straps (bracelets) of the Panerai days, I enjoy slimmer and tapered straps (bracelets)now equally.

To each their own my WIS friend 🤘

I was on the list for a Helm Miyako; took quite awhile between signing up and notification of it being available, a year if I remember correctly. In the interim I lost interest.
Ultimately it didn’t stay long.

Same story for me. Was on the wait list for the Khuraburi, but learned that i liked the 'borrowed from Tudor' design of the Tactical frog FX much more and could be had instantly and for less money (similar in how they both have quite chunky indices).
Last week I got an email that i was next in line to be able to purchase the Helm watch. I read that email 2 days later because it landed in my spam folder. And so my window to be able to purchase it had already closed. Not really a customer friendly approach by Helm. But like i said, i wouldn't have bought it anyway.

There is a huge 6 year old ongoing thread on all things Helm. https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/...luding-the-khuraburi-and-vanuatu.4620461/page-97?post_id=57970362#post-57970362

It's a popular microbrand for good reason. It's also one of the only micro's that have the "Diver's" designation.

I had the SS and Ti Vanuatu, and well as a Komodo and Khuraburi. All great quality watches. Most I bought secondhand and saved $ and wait.
Eventually sold them all because I'm too picky about watch dimensions. I felt the Vanuatu and Khuraburi were a bit too large for my wrist with the 43mm bezels, also the Khuraburi is 16mm thick. The Komodo was much better for me at 40mm but overall felt too thick at 15.5mm.
