Flat link is an excellent option in my opinion.

 

I wonder if all brushed would make sense for my model over the polished version that matches the new one

The 1450/President works really well on the 2220 era SMP!

Personally, I find it super comfortable. I also polished the sides and I found that gave it just the perfect amount to match with the 2220. But even all brushed, it looks fantastic.

 

To President looks better because it has the visual elements from the OE bracelet. The Flat Link leaves me … flat.

 

Yes I think the president has more presence. The flat link was on a Seamaster before so there’s some tradition there but less flash.

President. Gives the watch more character, IMHO.

 

I’ve had both Forstner flat and president before and after wearing each, would vote for the president.

Forstner Contemporary Flat Link on my SMP...a few...

I just received the Forstner Contemporary Flat Link bracelet and promptly put it on my blue SMP. First impressions of the bracelet? It's really pretty darn nice. I'm not going to say it's as well made as the Omega Flat Link on my AT, but it's also nowhere near the price. The end links fit well...

I vote flat link. I have one on my speedmaster FOIS and love it. I agree that the president has more presence/ stands out more, but I like that the flat link does not overshadow and lets the watch shine.

 

the flat link definitely makes it look more tool diver
but that president is richer looking with the extra depth
if going for flash president
or if tool look then flat ink
prefer the flat link look personally

 

Since the president is fully brushed, and as someone who prefers a more under the radar look, I never found it flashy.

I went with the President and LOVE it. I have a lot of watches and this has become my goto for the summer.

 

I vote for the flat link. I like the aesthetic more.
