Hello,
I’ve been burning my brain to insert the spring underneath the plate correctly into the date change jumper. I can put the plate (with the spring underneath )into place but the jumper does not make pressure on disc teeth in order to make lever return to another jump.
Any Help?

If I remember correctly as it was a while ago, I did my Tissot.

You need to remove the calendar ring, then move this lever as far over, out of the way as poss , then instal the bridge with the spring, push back the date change lever it should now contact the spring.

I then installed the calendar ring after fitting this piece, push the lever with a bit of pegwood then fit the number ring.

Im only a hobbyist who messes with cheap watches so this may not be correct, professional watchmakers may have a better way. For me it was the only way I could see of doing it.

The calendar / keyless works was a challenge for me, but I managed to do it and was quite proud of the end result .

That’s a nice tip, Robbo! I will try that ASAP and let you know. Thank you!

Yes, this caliber is horrible! Specially, the quick date system change that does not work properly….that one you have to push the crown down.

Yes I purchased my Seastar very cheap at a car boot sale not running very well at all with no quickset working. Once I had cleaned everything and put it back to together it works well.

But not a easy movement for someone like me who is not a professional and just messes about with cheap watches.

Good luck with it.
