I created this thread separately from the status info thread, so that those of us whose HMT LEs have actually arrived can post photos and show different straps for them. Hats off to Prateek for making this possible. This watch is a keeper.

Mine came in yesterday, very well packaged. I've put it on:

Its intended, a blue buffalo skin leather strap by ZRC

A tan leather NATO from Crown & Buckle

A blue/green striped NATO, from Timex

A Bund from Holben's, weathered


A mesh, by Strapcode

Obligatory instagrammy wrist shot

Personally, I like the blue leather and the Bund the best. The blue is buffalo skin. It looks as if it was made for the watch, I feel. And if anybody has been hesitant to try something on a Bund, try this watch. Its relatively small size and color attributes make it especially complementary with a dark brown Bund strap--does not look anywhere like what something a bro-band guitarist might wear.

Am interested in seeing what everyone else comes up with. Bring on the parade of photos.

Ask, and it shall be given to you.

My position on Bunds are that they work well with smaller watches like this, because they don't look overwhelming on your wrist. And it also depends on what else you're wearing. Bunds go well with jeans and a solid-color collared shirt, I feel, something of a more militaristic look than a musician's. For this HMT LE, the whiteness works to give it some contrast and "classes" it up nicely with the blue hands and textured dial.

Awesome thread and awesome ideas. When offering cool strap suggestions, please let us know where you got them.
I've been thinking that I should buy a couple of Natos from Jay at natostrapco, with the understanding that he will fulfill orders when he gets better, but I'm still unsure about what to do with this watch. I'd like to wear it both casually and a bit more formally... so I'm still thinking.

I feel like the stock strap can tide you over for a bit, but, for me, it's too much on the thinner and pleathery side. You can wait until the watch comes and decide if you need to do any more shopping. If so, any $15+ strap will be an improvement over the stock one.

My White Pilots arrived today. I ordered three. One I plan to give or sell at some point soon, is still wrapped up in original cellophane. Another is on its way to theinterchange. The third is now on a IWM "40s Vintage" strap and might soon end up on a brown "Tropic Buffalo." Here are some photos, still dripping wet from the digital dark room. ;-) You might see a few little specs under the dial that a few other people have noticed. No big deal.

Mine came in today's post. When our letter carrier rang the bell (twice, they always ring twice, why?) I greeted her by saying, "That package had better be from the mysterious subcontinent of India." She looked frightened for a second and then replied in the affirmative and tried (unsuccessfully) to pronounce 'Uttarakhand' while I signed for the package. I'm going to try it out on a mesh strap for a while.

I haven't noticed any flecks inside the crystal but the 'K' in Parashock is half missing. Still, it's a bloody nice watch.

Looks good on the mesh. I tried the combo, but haven't kept it that way, as I have other watches that would look too similar to it on a metal bracelet.

My Para Shock appears whole, but I wouldn't have minded a letter missing. I'm the type who likes quirks, though. Adds personality.

Hey guys, I did some quick NATO mockups for consideration and figured some of us may find it useful before purchasing.

Leather (Natural) - a light shade of beige

Bond-style (black and blue) - the blue stripes may co-ordinate better than navy

That's a great combo right there! Jay has it in a blue that should compliment the hands nicely here.

Yeah nice mockups.. I have a light leather NATO from natostrapco but that black and white NATO looks awesome..

I'm going to need to order a blue one now. It looks so good my wife won't complain about another strap!

I ordered a Crown and Buckle Oiled Leather for mine.
