How does this 1815 Up/Down sit on my wrist?

What do you all think about the fit on this 1815 Up/Down? It's obviously close up, so the proportions seem weird on my 6.25" wrist, but at 39mm I feel like it might wear slightly large.

I'm going to get a second look in a week or two, and will take more pictures and video.

Just about as big as you can go IMO, and very big for a dressy watch.

Ultimately your choice, how did it feel to you? As you’re asking probably too big?

I’m going to jog my memory next week, but I do prefer slightly smaller watches in general. Thanks!

I think it’s around 47mm lug to lug so definitely wears large for a 39mm case.

Lug to lug is 45mm according to WatchBox.

Bit large for your wrist, but not outrageously large. Hell of a watch, but maybe look at a plain Saxonia thin? They are what, 37mm… can’t recall exactly.
Okay now let’s talk about modern Rolex 😉

I kid! But I have a Saxonia! At 37mm it’s a favorite watch of mine.

My wrist is slightly smaller than yours. If I made decisions based upon whether others said watches looked too big on me, I'd be limited to wearing 36mm watches. I think that's the choice you're facing here. This is 36mm (though it's the lug-to-lug distance that really matters):

Agreed strongly. I have a Speedy at 42 (or 40, I suppose) and 47. My Saxonia sits at 37 and 43mm L2L. I think this will be fine. I honestly hope it is - I love the U/D design and prefer the modern red power reserve highlight to the 1st gen piece’s looks.

I have to agree it wears big on your wrist, Im sorry!
But I am not paying for it or wearing it so you need to decide how you really feel about it.
Beautiful watch though!

I have the same issues as you. My wrist is 6.25-6.3in, and the absolute max my wrist can handle is about 39mm diameter and 46mm lug-to-lug. Every time I try a watch with 47mm or more, it feels too long (the red Seiko Presage 'Sharp Edge', the 39mm Tudor Pelagos, and the Longines Sector remain bitter disappointments, I love all of those watches)

Such a shame, as 47mm is such a common lug-to-lug length for some stupid reason. That's why I went for the 39mm Montblanc Star Legacy (46mm lug-to-lug), over other potential dress watches
