Just curious how everyone stores the boxes and papers / receipts? They take up a lot of space and I want to keep them all for when I sell on a watch. Do you just put them in a drawer / cupboard? I was thinking one of those big plastic tubs with a lid in the loft/attic, but it would be nice to be able to access them easily.

On a side note im a fan of Breitlings new packaging, small and light, easy to post. Seems robust, all the old breitling cardboard outers used to be pretty flimsy, the hinges on the inner cases used to break and the leather internals used to flake really badly. So im happy they have changed it and i think its for the better.

I have a literal box of boxes. It holds all boxes/papers for my watches as well as all the boxes for my more costly knives.

It stays tucked away in an out of the way closet to prevent potential pests from moving in if it were in the garage or attic.
Knife collecting too! cool! Are they diving knifes to go with watches or is a totally separate collection to watches?

I have most in the bottom section of an old china cabinet in my home office. Several others are "displayed" on the 3 shelves above it that along with other watch stuff.
Plastic bins like you said sound like a good idea. Some of us would need multiple bins though. Then you have to decide where you want the bins. In a closet, attic, basement, etc.

After unboxing a new watch I re-wrap their boxes in bubble wrap to keep them in pristine condition. They live right along my other watch trinkelts in a locked tool chest somewhere in my bat cave :) The magnetic led lights there are for charging my solars every now and then when the chest is closed.

Since I started this set up 13 years ago I've capped my limit to 10 watches (one in one out) so I've always managed to fit them all in there even when I used to have those crazy big longines and omega boxes.

This is neat and i imagine pretty secure and too heavy to move easily. Good idea, probably a more practical idea to a safe.

I have several of those large, plastic storage crates to put the watch boxes and related paraphernalia into for storage. Some are in the garage and maybe [emoji848] one in the attic? Anyway, I use a larger “box” for the smaller watch boxes!
Kinda funny in a way, boxes for boxes?!

I keep my watch boxes in a plastic storage container in a closet and I keep receipts electronically.

Ok lots of votes for closet. Im in an apartment that luckily has an attic, so its either got to be attic in those plastic tubs, or i need to buy a piece of furniture to store them in as ewll as my watches. At the moment the boxes are just piled up on my desk, its messy and wasting desk space. Im considering something like this where the boxes will just fit in the bottom.

In terms of keeping the boxes, i have a few basic casio I dont have the boxes. I have a couple Seikos (SKX007 and Arnie) that i do keep the boxes for, everything else e.g breitling / tag / omega / rolex etc. I would definitely keep it all as it has a noticeable affect on resalse value.

Oh dear! at least it looks like there is a door that can be closed on it. Must get confusing which ones belong to which models as some look very similar there.

JR, I’d think about going with a plastic tub as I moved house recently and packing/unpacking the watchboxes was a right pain.
This is a good point, i probably will be moving in the near future.

In an ideal world, I would have a home office/study with one big wall of watches and "special" watch boxes. Right now, all of them are just on a shelf in the closet.

I do also like Breitling's newer packaging, I don't have the newest kind shown in the OP but I have the brown leather version. Basically a leather travel case inside of a perfectly sized cardboard box. Way easier to store.

My worst, although special, box is the Omega Casamigos PO. Its freaking huge since it contains a bottle of Casamigos Mezcal inside.

Yeah Breitling have been getting better for a few iterations now, with one slip up i think 2005ish with the big presentation case. But yeah the one you have is nice and compact and the leather seems way more durable that the old thin black leather coatings. The new one is super light and even more compact, and the warranty card and booklet have been reduced to one small fold out thing. Could fit 2 or 3 next to eachother compared to one of the older boxes

I must admit that a few years ago I threw out all the watch boxes from 25plus years collection as well as the wifes watches when I moved offices.
This included Seiko, Citizen, Tissot, Raymond Wiel, and Omega. I just didnt care at the time. I did save the little warrenty cards for my Seamaster for what its worth.
I mean if you plan to keep them all then its not a problem. I change my collection quite a bit and the box + papers must add 10-20% on the value.
