How messed up are my keyless works? Shanghai clone of ETA 2824

My stem does not engage, it it possible this is an easy fix? Or should I take just take it to a watch-repair professional?

I am a noob and tried make a watch myself by gathering parts.

Asian 2824 clones are notorious for keyless works which don't tolerate shenanigans well. Remove the stem at the wrong crown position, or jostle the movment with the stem removed, and the keyless works can get wonky. Involves rebuilding the keyless works to make it work again.

Check videos for instruction on how to re-set the keyless works, evaluate your skillz, and then make a decision about what to do with it. Might be cheaper to just pick up a whole ST2130/PT5000 movement.
