How to/possible to reset chronograph hand on Seiko VK64 Meca-Quartz?

Not sure if anyone can help answer this question, but I purchased a microbrand watch (BOLDR) with a VK64 Meca-Quartz movement and the chronograph is just slightly off center (maybe 1/2 of the way to the 1 second mark). The microbrand says it's within normal range and as such I'm wondering if it's possible to adjust (or have a watchmaker adjust it for a low cost) easily since it's bothering me. It's a pet peeve that's stupid but it's keeping me from wearing it and I can't find any documentation on how to adjust it from searching online. Anyone know how to do it electronically (with the pushers) or is this something that requires the watch be opened up?

Thanks!

In some quartz models you can adjust the new starting point for the center chrono hand by pulling the crown out to the second position (like you're about to set the time) and using the chrono pushers to advance the hand in 1 second increments. But if your watch is misaligned by less than that one second increment, it might need to be sent out. Best of luck to you!

You may try to align the seconds hand using the reset mechanism. When the chronograph seconds hand is in the 0-30 seconds range, hitting the reset button will move the seconds hand back to zero using a counter-clockwise motion (this will happen in a clockwise motion if in the 30-60 seconds range). Since you have a positive misalignment (you need to move from +0.5 seconds to 0), you can try running the chronograph up to 30 seconds and then hit the reset button. Hopefully, after a few tries this will generate enough torque to move the chronograph seconds hand to the proper zero position.

This movement uses a mechanical hammer to reset the chrono hands. There's no way to calibrate that electronically. You'd have to pull the hand and set it again.

Misaligned chrono hand is common issue with either mechanical or mecaquartz mouvement, if the misalignment is not too serious you should learn to live with it until the next service.

Otherwise buy another Seiko chronograph with movement like the 7t92, it's 100% electronic so you can reset all the hand on the fly.
