Would a smartwatch normally light up and show the dial in that position? My apple watch doesn't turn on in that orientation.

Wouldn't it be simpler just to ask her what brand and model it was? You don't have to tell her you want to replace it.

 

Based of of the outfit being worn, I'm assuming OP and his sister are Indian (it looks like a Sari). If so, is she in the USA as you are OP? If she's not, and she's from India, that probably rules out Invicta just on the basis that it isn't a particularly common brand in that neck of the woods.
