Ironman indiglo problem - how to fix

I replaced the battery in my wife's ironman. Ever since then, if she used the indiglo light, the watch would emit a high-pitched sound and often reset itself. Note that indiglo often emits a faint high-pitched tone; in this case, it was much louder than normal.

After disassembling the watch once again, I found that one of the three clips on the plate that holds the battery in place was bent (the one on the right); as such, it was not clipped securely. I bent it back, reassembled; now the watch is back to functioning as it should.

Something to watch for when replacing the battery. Also, be sure to "Reset" the watch by pushing down on the little reset metal tab just to the left of the top clip before reassembling the watch.

This is usually down to the 2 tiny conductive rubber strips inside the watch (between pcb and lcd) not making full contact with the Indiglo panel, so tightening the screws would alleviate this problem (this is sometimes the case with missing parts of digits on the lcd too).
It would vary but depending on the model of Timex, but the ones I've taken apart that are put together this way are the ones with the screw down battery clip (3 screws instead of one and a hinge).
Bumped in case anyone else has broken Indiglo.:)

Because it allows the circuitry inside the watch to reset everything in order for the watch to allow you to set the correct time, date, ect. If you don't do a reset, there's a good chance that the electronic IC's in the watch might not know to keep the watch in the correct timekeeping mode causing the lcd display to shut down or keep resetting itself to 12:00am. This is a common problem in some Casio watches if a reset isn't done after a battery change, but I don't know if Timex has this similar problem too.

The late great John Holmes wore a digital watch.

I just replaced the dead battery in my "new" Ironman 66801 (Jocko) and the Indiglo is dimmer than the other 2 I have. I also noticed the chime is more sensitive on these models than the OG 8-lap Ironman and doesn't always sound when I put everything back together. I've reset the watch, but the Indiglo is still dim. Any ideas why this is?
