Wow those batteries are crazy expensive! I think it's time for a new G Shock!

 

Yeah...how much is this watch worth anyway? It's kinda ratty looking.

 

Expensive indeed!! It's a real pity, the watch is very nice, I've not seen one before.

In regards to the missing lettering, I had a metal G similar to yours with the same issue.

What I did was actually get rid of the remaining black lettering with acetone, it looked pretty good with it all silver!

It doesn't matter what it's worth if you like it. You could try some model paint or nail polish to fill in the missing letters.

 

^Definitely get it running again if it has sentimental value for you. I have a few that are special to me which I replaced the bezel, strap and battery a few years ago even though I don't plan on wearing them anytime soon.

 

It has no real sentimental value. I tried wearing it for a day. It's not a very pretty watch.

 

I have this old GW1210 that i bought over 10 years ago. I think that the batteries are dead or not very good

What makes you think the batts have had it? Just wondered if you've sat it in bright light for a few days to see if they charge up?

It works 100% well in bright light. If it's dark for more than a day, the hands get out of sync but the digital time is perfect. Maybe I'll keep it in the sun for longer

 

Nope, not worth fixing at all - suggest you ship it to me and I'll look after it

 

Give it the Deep 6 and move on is my opinion.
So many other Casios to upgrade to.
I have 8 and SIL Mark owns 11 GShocks.

It's not a rechargeable battery. It is a CR1025. The company is wrong in advertising as the replacement for CTL1025.

yes, havent read that thread, but i have converted a few of these models in the same series to regular battery. all you need to do is cut or unscrew the ribbon cable from the solar panel. the best part is the power saving feature still works so your regular batteries will last even longer |>

 

After leaving in on the window sill for 3 scorching Summer days...it seems to be keeping time at night perfectly.
