Is mastersintime.com legit?

I’m thinking of purchasing a Citizen BM7251-88E watch. The only U.S. site I could find it on was masterintime.com. The website says that it’s part of the Holland watch group. I was wondering if any of you know anything about this website (or the Holland watch group) and its reputation? Is it legit? Do the watches ship from the U.S. or internationally?

I also have some other questions.

Why is this specific Citizen model not sold at more popular U.S. online retailers (like jomashop)? Is this watch only available outside the U.S.? The Citizen BM7251-53L is the same watch, except with a blue dial, and many online retailers sell it. Or has this model been discontinued and the watch that they’re selling has most likely been sitting in the warehouse for a very long time?

Also, what do you think of this watch in general? Any pros or cons? Can the metal bracelet be swapped out for a leather band?

First place to check is the US site (citizenwatch.com). Searching for BM7251 serves up a 53H and a 53L; no 88. So yes, it's not designated for import to the US, for whatever reason. Maybe they think they have too many black dial basic Eco Drives.

Yes, it'll take a strap fine. When there's an end link present, and it's not some funky wraparound design (RARELY seen but there's a Mido we discussed earlier this week that had this), then the bracelet will come off with no issue, and any strap of the right width can be considered.

It's not certain, but Amazon shows the date first available on Amazon, and for this one it's early 2015.

As far as MastersInTime: well, they are a Dutch company, it appears, so Holland Watch Group probably means nothing more than that. They show a couple stores running under different names. The price is essentially the same as Amazon has, for the blue dial version. I don't see any yellow flags, much less red ones. But, of course, recognize that you may have international shipping charges.

......I Googled the name and found WUS already had 2 "short" threads in 2010 and 2011. Not very useful and got somewhat abusive. Supposedly the "owner" piped in and shot out his many websites and offerings. Some said received watches...not 1 single pic !!! I'm not vouching legitimate or not...I'm just sharing info. To read what I'm referring to....it's not too far down the page after the search. Good luck.
