Is there an online Omega database of all past watches?

It would be incredibly helpful if you could look up any watch by year, then model, with all the specs, photos, etc.

I know there is the vintage database but you have to know the model number and it doesn't work very well anyways.

I haven't been able to find such a thing so I assume it does not exist? If not, they should really add it to the omega website, I think it would get used by people constantly.

Why is it that the Omega Vintage Watch database asks for a username and password?

OP: Probably the only place is the journey through time of omega

The Omega A Journey Through Time (typically used acronym is AJTT) is about $400 and getting harder to get everyday. On the for sale section there was a guy selling a few copies, supposedly there will not be more copies after the printed ones are gone since they will come with a new revision to the book at some time in the near future.
