I definitely debated getting a Omega SM. In the end, I think the next piece I'm getting is an Omega Seamaster Railmaster

 

For over 20 years, I had two watches... a Breitling Colt Ocean Automatic and a Rolex Yachtmaster. Both are broken (again). After a few months of growing tired of digging my phone out for the time, I decided to buy a "cheap Casio." ONE was the plan. Yep... that was the plan to hold me over until I decided to fork over the money to service the "fine Swiss timepieces." Then this happened... in the span of 2 months (as of now).

Not my whole collection, but the core of my regular rotation. 3 Omegas (Speedy auto, Aqua Terra, Planet Ocean) and 3 Rolexes (Explorer II, Pepsi and Sub). Not the most original, but they are mine.

 

 

 

Been reducing numbers just to simplify life a bit. Aiming to stick to these four for awhile and see how it goes.

I super respect that a GS is in your group

 

We have several in common...it’s interesting to see how different people can have similar tastes in watches and therefore amass a similar collection of seemingly random pieces!

Hard to not want ALL of the divers haha. I recently did a serious downsize & most were Divers

 

I keep it pretty simple.

7 day rotation and 2 family heirlooms.

From first to last with some reasoning. First SMP Bond Issued (Diver). Cartier Basculante Mecanique with Frederick Piguet 6.10 movement (Dress). Dunhill Chrono with Dubois-Depraz modified ETA (Chrono). Sinn 104 special order bead blasted (Tool), Certina DS PH200M Heritage with ETA Powermatic 80 (Heritage re-issue). Dior Chiffre Rouge by Hedi Slimane with ETA 2824 (Designer). Scurfa Diver-One 500M by Paul Scurfield with Swiss Ronda Quartz movement (Beater). Last two are family watches - Grandfather's Lord Elgin 1952 and Moms Tourneau.

 

Really nice range!! Looks like anything from 32mm(?) to a solid 44mm

Part of my collection I am wearing the most... There are also three more Seikos, few Nixons one G-shock, Mido Multifort and a Bulova precisionist that just joined them recently...

 

Fantastic choices. I just sold a Seiko Flightmaster on a trooper strap like that. Great value, that watch!

So far, this is as close as I've come (similar esthetics). But, some day... SOME day... the real deal GS will be mine.

 

Nice collection but the watch which really stands out for me is your Sixty Five! It's on my short list of new buys for the longest time. The vintage diver design of that era is unquestionable for a modern watch.

I wore it today. It's an amazing watch. The whole 65 series is full of bad ass watches. I bought the BICO too because it's just so damn good looking
