No I do not agree. Take a look at the Nomos Orion, the dial has a strong curve as does the domed sapphire crystal yet the hands aren't lacking because they're straight.

The function of curved hands is to eliminate parallax - which is frankly a moot point for a dress watch because knowing the time down to the exact quarter of a minute will not help you get a cocktail sausage quicker.

I am not convinced that the Seiko Cocktail Time has a curved minute hand. A photo taken from the middle of the dial at an angle showing the end of the hand would eliminate the distortion caused by the edge of the glass.
I used to own one but an opportunist thief stole it so I could be wrong since it was a few years back.

Parallax does not bend the hands as can be clearly seen in the B.B. photos ( #20 ) only apparently moves them to a different part of the dial. If the photo had been taken from the 12 position the minute hand would appear to have gone backwards.
Wuyeah and I are making the point that looking through the edge of a domed crystal bends the hand due to refraction which it a different physics lesson although both can occur together.

I never knew that some watches had curved hands until I came across this thread. I have to say that I don’t like them. They look as if they have been damaged. I realize that they are curved to match curved dials, but I think they just look as if they have been bent by accident during their manufacture. Sorry to be so negative about them.
