Hi everyone, I have a challenge for you as I give up. Helping friend to find a watch, criterions are (sometimes strange):

- strictly 3-6-9-12 dial. However, one number can be missing due to design (like 3 because of date window) and 12 is optional,
- white (much preferred) or brown dial,
- close to none complications: date is okay, day is barely tolerable, strictly no chrono,
- strictly no inclined chapter ring,
- not a diver,
- minimalistic design,
- better bare SS with no coating,
- high legibility,
- size suitable for 19cm wrist,
- brown leather strap is highly desirable, because
- under $20 ($30 is absolute max limit, not a cent more).

So far I was able to find these (non checks all boxes):

Timex Weekender T2N635. The closest. Pretty much what I'm looking for except it's $30 while extra strap is needed (friend hates bracelets) and it's way too small for 19cm wrist at 36mm dia.

Chinese creation for about $10. Good size at 40mm+ (can't recall), but white hands on a white dial are completely unreadable. Black dial is not an option.

One more from China for like $12. White dial is sold out (I can't find other listings), seconds subdial is undesired complication, date window looks really cheap to me (especially on white dial) and I'm afraid coating will last like couple months for that price.

Please, help.

You should look at Chinese mechanical watches (hand-winding) like this Shanghai factory model ( borrowed pic - sorry to owner - I don't recall whose this is):

Can probably find second-hand ones at your price.

Interesting, but he's again hand-winds (forgot to mention). He had ultimately bad experience with ALL his previous watches being hand-winds and total crap that broke after couple months of usage. He's ready for a new try [emoji1]

Besseron Ultrathin?
Neh, he doesn't like these numbers. Seriously, that's what he told me, he doesn't like numbers 2-4-8-10 [emoji38]

Casio MTP-1314D
Man, you've nailed it! Congratulations and endless thanks!
I was able to find it on leather strap (brown one!) for $25-26 shipped with estimated delivery before New Year (we're not in the US). And I'm personally happy it's Casio.

Btw, searching for more pics found this blue dial version, that reminds me of Christopher Ward limited edition piece [emoji4]
