I've owned both. No longer own the Seiko, but from what I remember it's stronger than Lum-Tec.

 

Have not yet had the pleasure of handling a Lume-Tec and testing it's luminosity. But it would have to do damn well to rival a Seiko diver's lume with regard to both intensity and longevity.

 

I have a Lum-Tec Bull45, I like the watch but the lume is nowhere near what Lum-Tec claims and not as good as any of the better Seiko lume I've seen.

 

I have also had both. My original B1 Combat had very good lume but I still think my Tuna edged it out.

"Charge them both. Then keep them dark for several hours and visually compare them. Tell us what you saw. No need for photos."

Went camping on the BlackRock desert last week. I was wearing my Seiko Kinetic diver, and my friend was wearing a Lum-Tec, I cant remember the model, but it had lumed numbers/markers and hands. about 5 am we got up. We compared lume, the seiko was brighter.

He was a little pissed, and said WTF, why do they call it Lum-Tec? He was under the impression that no other was as good as a L-T. I was a little surprised myself.

I then told him my tritium dialed watches would blow them both away!:-d
