Hi all, I need help winding my tissot visodate. This watch is new and just a few days old. The first wind was done by a local AD when I was purchasing the watch. I'm curious about how to manual wind the watch so i start to try turning it clockwise direction but it just dont turn. I'm very afraid of breaking any mechanism inside. However if I turn it anti clock wise, the watch just clicks. Is there a problem with my watch? Should I out some force and turn it clockwise? Thanks in advance for the help

It sounds like a problem, I would take it back to the AD immediately. I own a Visodate and have no problems manually winding it.

I already told you it sounds like a problem and that I own a Visodate and none of the things you have describe happen with mine. Bring it back before it is too late.

The Tissot and most watches have a clutch to prevent over-winding... should not bind if you keep winding it.

One thing that has been talked over and over again on this forum is how the 2824/2836 mechanism is not meant to be manually wound constantly. Just to play safe, after you get this straightened out, whenever the watch runs out of power reserve, shake it up a little bit, then wear it constantly. Even if the deal with not hand winding it is an urban legend, this can't hurt the mechanism.

All the best, and hope you get your Visodate back in good order. It's a stunning watch.

"shake it up a little bit", been winding the 2836 in my Rainer Nienaber going on 14 years now and everything
is just fine.
