Hmmm.... Looks nice enough. Funny thing tho, in looking at the pic, I would have thought it was smaller than the GWG-2000, but from the specs given it seems it's a bit larger. Maybe a tad wider, and about 2mm thicker. Also a little heavier.

I need another Mudmaster tho like I need a hole in the head. And tbh, not really looking for one with Bluetooth. That holds really no attraction to me, esp given the issues I've had with the Casio Watches app.

One thing strikes me as a little odd. Why put the "over/under" function at the 9:00 position instead of the typical mode subdial?

Not all of the 1000s were made in Japan. I have one that was, and one that wasn't..
🤷‍♂️

This watch may be great on it own. Still, I think part of the challenge here is how (never mind why) to improve something that has been already great.
Agreed and in this case, I think the "why" is more important. I don't think Casio should have bothered.

Here we go again.
And what makes you comment like that? My question is equally valid as others and if you don"t have an answer or can't help by any means, then better not say anything. You seem to have an obsession to comment posts without bringing any content to discussion...

Thanks @Time4Playnow for you answer, I didn't remember that some -1k models were made in Thailand 👍

The fact that you brought the age old and quite useless "Japan vs. Thailand/China manufacture" debate to the table.

It is useless debate in your mind.

I didn't have any "vs" aspect, I just kindly wanted to know for my own reasons. Don't comment based on your biased guesses 👍

The carbon bezel looks like the gwg-2000, not the all resin gwg-1000. I wonder why didn't they call it gwg-b2000....
Exactly.
It looks like the 2K but is proportioned like the 1K. This model is a bit of a head scratcher as it's some of one and bits of the other but with the addition of BT as the only meaningful innovation. This is why I can't see any compelling reason to bring it in if I already own the 2K.

I guess the attraction to 1K owners might be that the bezel pieces are cheaper resin instead of expensive forged carbon fiber. But in configuring it this way, does it lose some of the charm of the original unitary resin bezel?

Ummm.....both the GWG-1000 and 2000 Mudmasters have all of this. Were they not true Mudmasters?

G-Central has posted a couple articles about the GWG-B1000.
