Naiad Lock Caseback Misaligned?

A local guy has offered to sell me a lightly used Omega Railmaster with the darker brushed dial (not 1957 trilogy edition). He's offering it to me at a very fair price but not so low as to I would immediately think something it's a scam or anything like that. He sent me some pictures of the watch and it looks great except I noticed the caseback seems to be a little misaligned in the pics. It's my understanding that because it has the Naiad lock designation that the caseback should always align perfectly.

He also sent me pictures of the box and the 3 cards (METAS cert, pictograms and signed/dated warranty card). At least based on the pics everything but the caseback looks good. And I've done multiple deals with this guy in the past and am pretty confident he wouldn't intentionally try to screw me over. As a matter of fact when I mentioned the Naiad lock he had no idea how it was supposed to work which I don't blame him because Omega doesn't explain it much in marketing.

Has anyone else encountered this with a Naiad caseback? The watch is under valid warranty (card signed/dated in Feb 2019 from an actual Omega AD). Is it a watch I should just pass on even if it is under warranty and Omega would presumably fix any issues?

I've seen one Omega that has the NAIAD lock that didn't look perfectly perpendicular, or leveled. But it wasn't as far off leveled as the one you show there. Maybe a non-Omega tech opened up the case back for some reason and had screwed it back on either too tightly or not tight enough to make it line up straight.

Here is my PO with the NAIAD case back, for a comparison. Yours looks quite a way out. Saying that though, I did read over on the Omega forum that some had purchased Omega watches with the NAIAD case back, that were out of alignment, as yours is. They were genuine Omega watches, too.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the replies guys! I have seen other forum posts where people have not had theirs align properly and it was because the engraving itself was off a bit. Though this one is off more than any others I’ve seen. I’m going to go see it in person today. The same seller also has a silver dial Railmaster for sale on bracelet for $100 more than the dark dial and that one has the correct caseback alignment. I’ll have to compare the two in person and decide which way to go. Though the thought of having to send in the dark dial with the misaligned caseback seems for omega to take a look at seems very off putting.

Just FYI - I checked the serial number on the back of the watch you posted photos of...

Serial number: 89741982
Article ref: 22012402001001

Precisely the model it should be, so the chances of this being a fake are almost nil...
