Need band help - Casio MTD-1010 ?

I've got an older Casio MTD-1010 Dive watch that I really like the band to -

I've also got a newer Casio MDV102-AV that came with a rubber strap I'd like to replace with either the same band or a similar one.

Yes, the one with the rubber strap is a cheaper watch, but it was a gift from my sons and means more to me that what it is worth - why I'd like to get a nicer band to wear it.

Anyone know where I can either get one of these bands for the newer one, one like it, or just a good source for watch bands to fit it?

An internet search for both watch models and Casio sales and service's website have come up with nothing. :(

Again, I want a metal band like the one pictured (or one like it) for the watch that has the rubber band on it now.

Thanks -

According to the www.pacparts.com website, the MDV-102D models came with a stainless steel bracelet, which I just verified by Googling "MDV 102 D" and looking at some of the images.

PacParts also has the stock bracelets (or at least, a Casio replacement) for sale -- here's the parts lists for the MDV-102D-1AV: Casio MDV102D-1AV Parts and Accessories

Just go to their main site, "search by model number" and that will bring up the five MDV-102's they have listed. It looks like the last three (1AV, 2AV and 7AV) are the black, blue, and white dial versions with the bracelet instead of rubber strap: https://www.watchuseek.com/attachme.../attachments/f71/1071381d1367632164-finally-got-mdv102-2005-10-13-release2-.jpg

Yeah, I knew the MDV models came with a metal band also from Casio also, but it looks like they changed the band design when they updated to them from the older MTD style - again why I was trying to find a band similar to the MTD style, rather than just buying the newer MDV style I didn't care for as much.

Thanks for the help either way, apperciate it. :) I still perfer the MTD or the more "Submariner" classic style band to this other version though. If I can find a non-Casio one that will work, I'd be happy with that also.

Thanks! :)

I don't know about the 1010, but I just measured MDV (the one w/ the rubber strap) w/ my digital caliper, and it's definitely a 21mm.

Funny thing is the metal band off of the MTD DOES fit on my MDV, it's just the older band off of my MTD is worn now and I need to add a link to it - again, why I am looking for a newer one for it.

I didn't think they were a "generic" or a universal fit thing (or even available like that???)?? I thought the pins for this band were something unique to it (or normally are with any other band?)?

If not I did not know that, and then YES, I CAN use them and will just try and find a link pin to work?

LMK, thanks -

Hi esg2145,

Found your thread too late, I hope you like the metal bracelet on the MTD now?

I happen to have the same Casio MTD-1010 in Navy Blue and I had the metal bracelet on it for around 11 years. It became worn and the links were overlapping a bit and loose.

So, recently I switched out the SS bracelet for a more summer look here:

It's the MTD on Navy blue and grey striped Nato strap. I think it's a good look for the summer and also an homage to the Bond look.

Let me know what you think and hope this gives you another idea for future ways to wear this watch!

P.S. I can relate to how you feel about it, as the sentimental value of mine also exceeds its current price.

It looks great for 11! Here's mine, it's about 13:

Seems like pretty good condition for 13! Is it a daily watch for you?

Also noticed the marks on your bezel - I seem to have the same problem with mine. The bezel blue material seems softer than anything else on the watch and prone to nicks and scratches. Really wish they used another material - ceramic would be asking too much for the price of the watch, but at least a harder material for the bezel.

Nonetheless, I love this watch and good to see you've kept yours for so long!
