Hey guys just picked up a new Speedmaster from Watchmaxx the watch is great, but the one thing i noticed is the bracelet feels chunkier than the 3570.50 I used to have.

Also there is a laser engraving on the bracelet that my older 3570.50 never had. Is this normal for the newer bracelet that has screws?

It came with different end links, I swapped them with the 887's, which I modified to use the bracelet on my Seamaster Professional

The Seamaster end links are different versus the ones of the Speedmasters; the "correct" speedy style bracelet for the Seamaster is 1610/930.

I bought the STZ004195 bracelet with the intention of using it on my Seamaster since wanted to have the newer screw style links. I originally fit it with 930 end links but like more the style of the 887 Speedmaster end links (they are shorter than the 930's) so modified them with a dremel tool to make them fit the Seamaster

Here a Seamaster 825 end link (left) and a Speedmaster 887 end link (right) before modifying it:

And here the bracelet installed on my Seamaster with the adjustable clasp

I just bought this exact same watch, from watchmaxx, for 3350, and it came in the mail this afternoon. Just got home to open it up. It came with the warranty cards, although they were not stamped by an AD. Upon picking up the watch and winding it, one of the first things I did was test the chronograph seconds hand. Nothing. The chrono seconds hand didn't move. Also, i notice that the top bumper is very mushy... not as clicky as the re-set button on the bottom, and neither are as clicky as I am seeing in a lot of youtube videos of omega speedys. It also didn't come with the extra straps, the eye magnifier, and the bracelet removal tool.

I did not remove a single sticker or tag on the watch, and it looks like they have a return policy as well as ebay's buyer's protection, so i am not worried much about losing my money. although, i did buy their last one so i cannot simply exchange it with them for a working speedy. This really pisses me off. Who knows how long it will take for the refund to kick in, and then i have to go searching for yet another buyer at this price.

I guess it is too good to be true when you find a brand new speedy for 3350...

In my opinion, avoid watchmaxx at all costs.. I will probably get my refund and go to an AD and spend an extra thousand dollars just to be safe... very unfortunate. although, this is exactly the kind of thing that happens to me... not surprised at all.

Well I hate to be harsh, but you get what you pay for. I am sorry this happened to you. It's pretty crappy of them not to provide all the extra goodies that comes with the speedy. I asked the OP in this post for a pic of the watches warranty cards, but could never provide any of the info. You have every right to be pissed. Send it back ASAP. I heard Chitown watches in Chicago are pretty good or go where I went to get my Speedy from Topper Jewelers.

I bought my Speedy from Watchmaxx and it came with all the items that should've come in the box when purchasing at the AD. I'm not sure about the warranty cards as I didn't look, care, or have ever used a manufacturer's warranty on a watch (as I usually buy vintage). As a mostly vintage owner I am aware of what these can cost to repair and the $1k savings is enough to service one of these twice. Sure, pay an extra grand if it helps you sleep at night but to me it just wasn't worth it. Perhaps if it was a brand new model with a new and unproven movement I may reconsider my stance but on a Speedy Pro...I don't think so.

I'm sorry to hear you got a bad one but mine and others have been great.
