Hello WUS Panerai community,
While I love the look of a Panerai, I’ve never really considered adding it to the collection because of its size. I recently came across the Due Line which to my surprise is 38mm! God help my savings account now.

For Panerai owners with small wrists, what’s your experience with them? Care to share a wrist shot?

I’m also partial to vintage and neo-vintage references, are Panerai references that are under 39mm you’d recommend?

Thanks kindly. And apologize if this has been discussed before. I’m fairly new to WUS.

Another vote for a wire lug Rad, or check out the Quaranta 40 mil.

The Due is a Panerai in looks only with a 3atm WR rating.

Yeah - the Due watches are attractive - but the WR keeps me away, personally. FWIW, I have an under 7" wrist and easily wear a PAM915 because of my wrist's absolute width and the way the lugs turn down. You might want to try these on if you can. I've also not bought, but had on wrist, the 40mm luminor 1371, which I think is incredibly comfortable @ 40mm and still has 100m WR. It felt every bit a Luminor as my other watch. The only reason I didn't scoop it up was that, ironically, it didn't seem different enough to convince me that it would garner wrist time.

This is an excellent point. Obviously it's only so scalable, but within... reason, the shape of your wrist is at least as important as the diameter. There are people with wrists an inch bigger around than mine that can rock watches that look like women's watches on me because my wrist is flat and theirs is round.

Don’t get hung up on “Diameter”. The effective lug-to-lug and even dial color (white wears bigger) is more important in the “Can I pull this off” department.

I have 6.75” wrists and have 3 44mm Luminors (111, 029, 026). They wear comfortable and look just fine on me.

I tried on the 42mm PAMs at the LV Boutique and they looked worse on me because they were too top heavy/thick and kinda out of proportion.

Even larger— I have the B04 Breitling Mosquito at 46mm!!! The lug to lug is stubby enough and wears like a 44mm PAM.

On the flip side I could NOT wear a 39mm Omega Spectre SM300 because the male-SEL’s made the effective lug-to-lug 52mm and the bracelet hung like a bad suit.

All that said. 6.75 ~maybe 6.5 would be the safe smallest wrist size for a Luminor….

Breitling is another one! Love the designs, but some look like WWE championship belts on my wrist. :)

I'm just under 7" wrist and worried about sizing too so bought a 40mm wire lug Radiomir (pam 62) which is lovely but come up a little small so I keep it for smart occasions as it fits under the cuff nicely. Got a couple of 42mm wire lugs again after which are near perfect (pam 338 in titanium and 439) but then went bigger again :) have a 44mm sub which is pretty chunky on me but still works nicely - they definitely don't wear like normal watches! Pics attached as I found myself searching for wrist shots with people mentioning wrist size!

Panerai has great options for smaller wrists. Lug to lug is manageable with many models.

I have a 6.5 inch wrist. Love my Luminor Quaranta and Radiomir Quaranta 👌
