i'm thinking of doing the same thing but on a ray or mako 1. the problem is i can't seem to find them decently priced in the pre-owned market...if ever there is actually someone selling those out there.

 

I'm about to sell my Orient Ray 2 with blue dial. I started to mod it but realized I prefer the Mako 2 in blue.

Hands designed to fit Seiko mechanical movements fit on Orient mechanical movements. Check the length of the hands to make sure they will work with the size of the dial on your Orient.

 

Yobokies is another source for mod parts. Lots of different hand sets. Keep in mind the Ray has a 31 mm dial diameter while most aftermarket Seiko handsets are sized for the 28.5 mm SKX. Also, you can now source aftermarket bezel inserts that fit the stock bezel so its another way to change the Ray's look for not a lot of $$

 

Thats awesome! Where can you find bezels inserts that dont require me to mod the bezel?
