Personally, I wouldn't be comfortable with the size.

Too big for you I’m afraid as the L2L is killing you.

Look at a wire lugged Rad, they are far less in that department.

 

Yeah I kind of agree with you.. I really like the caliber p3000 movement specifically on the 1940's case.. the wire

lugs I am not really a fan of..

Here are a couple of pics of the California and a luminor due (forgot the ref) but I believe it is a 45mm which I think looks a little better.. what do you think?

Looks like you have got some lug overhang there, which would be a deal breaker for me.

 

View it through a full-length mirror, your build/frame also has a significant implication. Personally, if the lugs don't edge on overhanging the proverbial coulture, is it really a Panerai?

 

The only time Panerai looked small on me was when I was pushing 320 pounds.

These watches are meant to look big and make a statement. They are meant to be seen.

That is what people dont understand. This is not a 33 mm PP calatrava meant to be worn discretely with a sniff of pedigree.

 

Having owned more than a dozen over the past 20 years I think I know a bit about Panerai’s.

Yes they are a big watch, but they are now available in cases from 38mil up, so they will fit everyone.

Making a statement doesn’t necessarily mean you have a to wear a watch that looks far too big for you does it?

 

You can wear that 662. It’s big but the ring is bigger!

The ring is not really as big as it looks in that pic.. (at least in my opinion)

Panerai are just a big watch no matter what and that the appeal of them. Looks good

 

It's lovely Pam indeed. Just perfect as a Panerai should be. They are supposed to be worn big. Congratulations for a great watch.

 

It looks good on your wrist. Imo Panerai should be on the slightly bigger side. It's part of it's charm.
