Pusher GMT Function:

I was looking at a watch with GMT just a minute ago and came up with what I believe is a new concept that would seemingly simplify the mechanics and operation of a GMT function. Instead of having a second crown to set the GMT time, what about using a pusher to advance the time hourly (I understand that at least one time zone is on the half-hour, but I doubt that this would effect most folks) from the setting of the main time. I'm no watchmaker, but I believe this would simplify the movement (it would act like a date function, only moving hourly instead of daily) and the operation for the user (just set the main time and advance the second time to the proper setting for your use). This GMT could come in the form of an indicator (either sub-dial or additional indicator on the main dial) or a simple number displayed like a date, which may or may not have intermediate settings between the hours. I picture the operation being akin to the date advance button on the Orient Mako/Ray. I could see this being especially useful for frequent travelers, especially those that oft travel to different several different time zones in one trip as it would allow a more simplistic GMT setting (much like I use my quartz Citizen AT4010-50E, which requires only a simple flick of the crown to set the time zone whilst traveling).

Does this exist? Are my assumptions correct, in the practicality/simplicity of the movement? Any thoughts?

P.S.: Feel free to move this thread if requisite ; I thought this would be the appropriate spot for it given that this is only conceptual (not a design or concept for a design), and watches with this function may very well exist (I would be somewhat surprised if they did not).
