So today is the day! Rolex Datejust 126234. It's my favourite configuration of fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet, 36mm and silver dial. Love it and will never ever sell it! Dreams do come true in the end.. I'm extremely happy that I chose this one. I started my collection a year ago with Seiko, then moved towards many different brands including Omega and Tudor to eventually acquire what I consider my grail watch. This is also kind of a gift for myself for several professional achievements and some important events in my private life. I also hope it's not the last one in my collection! Next target for 2024 will be most probably Rootbeer or Cartier Santos. Cheers!

You've got a nice watch, Nomateus! If you allow me to give you a word or two. Try to adjust it in a snug fit to your wrist, as this keep the bracelets from shaking and thus preserve the jubillee from stretching. Once a month soak the bracelet (the bracelet only) on a cup filled with thinner. This way you remove all oil, dirt and dead skin cells that overtime create an acidic sludge and damage the pins. Congrats, man.

Great watch. Definitely do not soak it in solutions ...

Size the bracelet comfortable to you, and if 3 decades later it's a little loose, can always have it restored. Modern day bracelets don't stretch like the old hollow link bracelets, but even if its hollow links I'd still advise against soaking your bracelet in thinner ...

The older I get, the "more bad ass" I was. Long story short: the guy bought himself a beautiful Rolex, I gave him two pieces of advice, some people disagreed, some got triggered because I mentioned dangerous radioactive poisonous explosive substances, I got scourged for misspelling and for a supposedly bad-ass style comment, it's all right, it's all fine, love you brother. Have a nice Wednesday! But again, no soap or any form of ethanol is able to solve and remove the corrosive acidic sludge deeply encrusted in steel bracelets. Obviously, after soaking/shaking the bracelet in toluene or thinner, it must be thoroughly washed in running water. This sludge is a result of a mix of dust, sweat, skin oils and dead skin cells. That's why leather straps rot and smell bad. It works, I survived, and I'm alive to tell you about it. Obviously, do not smoke while doing it, do not drink the solution, wash your hands carefully etc.
