Hi all - thought I'd post a few pictures and some thoughts about my SBGX263, purchased from SeiyaJapan about 2 months ago.

Overall I love it...37mm size is perfect for my small (6.75") wrist and personal preference.

Bracelet sizing was easy enough with a bit of trial and error a $4 Wera 1.2mm screwdriver purchased from Amazon, I did heat the links to loosen the thread locking compound in a cup of hot water...note the adjustment screws are EXTREMELY TINY, your eyesight/mechanical aptitude will need to be up to the task if you don't want to lose them/scratch up your bracelet/etc.

While the dial color is described as "champagne", I would say it only looks that color under certain warmer lighting conditions...under most lighting I would call it silver.

One of the nicest things about the watch is the way the different index/hand surface angles catch the light, I find the legibility actually better than on my dark-faced SARB033 (shown in a pic below for comparison's sake for those of you familiar with it - I notice a lot of glare on the crystal wearing that watch), though of course the GS has no lume.

It has been absolutely dead nuts accurate as far as my ability to measure it with the WatchCheck Android app (changed the time once for DST.)

As far as the quartz/mechanical "soul" question...well, I love mechanical watches, have owned them for 20+ years...but I think something that can be put away for a couple of days that will be still going strong when you pick it back up has a different kind of "life" to it to be appreciated ;)

Congrats!!! I just picked up a close brother too your SBGX263 and SBGX259. Picked it up 2 weeks ago and hasn't left my wrist since. Mine is as dead accurate as yours seems to be. Those 9F movements are not playing around.

I agree that I was skeptical about picking up a quartz movement at first after years of only owning mechanical. Couldn't be happier that I did.

Enjoy the new addition!!

I like how the bezel catches the reflection of the trees above you.

Seiya is quoting $1,776.00 for the SBGX263.

Nice watch

I love the dial color. I had the black dial version(SBGX261) but as attractive as it was, It just was not for me. I did not bond with it. In a way it was a bit underwhelming to me so I sold it and bought a SBGN009 and loved the watch. Don't get me wrong, i really wanted to love the X261 but I could not.

I am considering a SBGX263 as I love the dial color. The local GS AD would have to order it for me as he only has the SBGX261 in stock and though he offered it to me at a tempting price, I know I would not be happy with it at all as I could not bond with it the first time around so spending almost $2000 for it is fools errand.

Did you get whacked with any customs fees on GS from Seiya? I have bought watches from him before but not that pricey so i did not get hit with customs

I'm hoping to pick one of these up soon. I have a SBDC063 with zaratsu polishing and find that the polished surfaces hold up quite well however I wonder how much of that can be credited to the diashield coating. Would love the opinion of owners here as to how vulnerable the zaratsu surfaces are to scratching. Thanks and lovely watches!

Just got my SBGX263 today. I’m normally not a fan of quartz, but really like the idea of something I can just grab without checking if it needs to be set or not.

37mm size and just right for a dress watch even on my large 7.5” wrist. I also wear a 35mm Omega Constellation from 1956, so a smaller watch doesn’t feel even slightly off to me.
