Recent thrift store find. All working EXCEPT 1/10s register runs continuously when Chrono is activated. It actually still works. It will stop when Chrono function is stopped and will reset to zero. I assume not supposed to do this?. Anyone familiar with this and know what it takes to fix? Thanks

yes it's supposed to do that, first quartz chronograph with 1/10 sec counter if I remember correctly it spins fast counting all those 10ths of a second off...

The 1/10sec dial continues to spin until 10 minutes have gone?
Presumably the 1/10th dial goes to 0 to rest.

Nice looking watch and i can imagine the 1/10 sec dial is mesmerizing when running :)

Hello Gio,

Yes the watch is supposed to do that. Nice watch. The 7A series was (and still is) a top of the line movement. When it came out, this put another nail in the Swiss watch coffin. With the quartz revolution underway the Swiss still dominated the market with mechanical chronos. The only quartz chronos available were digital ones. That changed in 1982 when the Seiko 7A series arrived with all its 15 jewel goodness. Boom!!! this changed the market right away.
