Saw a Sekonda quartz diver with a PLASTIC case back. Is this normal?

It looks (except for the Komandirskie style bezel and BAD counterfeit dial) JUST like the Chinese knockoffs that have been sold on the bay for a while. #1 giveaway....that small crown inside those crown guards, the plastic back and QUARTZ movement. It's a China made fake IMHO.

P.S. Couple all that with 'bad pictures' and it is HIGHLY suspect. Wouldn't touch it, Art.

I wish I could find a picture of that fake Komandirskie that I bought. Sam and I talked about it a year or so back (maybe more)....it was so OBVIOUSLY fake that I HAD to get it. Sam and I discussed that maybe the BEZEL was real and would be worth having (it was a gear bezel), but when I got it and started to see if the bezel would come off...it did...along with the crystal! LOL! It kept great time, which was a big laughing point..... It looked JUST like this watch....pretty close, but just really fishy.

Sekonda is British-owned brand for low cost fashion watches. A plastic cased diver style watch is not completly implausible, although it is equally likely that the caseback has been replaced.

This watch has nothing to do with Soviet or Russian watches. Expert knowledge on the faking of Soviet watches is not necessarily valid for assessing this watch.
