Have 104 & 105 non GMT. Love them both. Both are the same deminsions but the 105 seems to "wear" more compact. The 12hr bezel with the 60min annotations is more functional to me. Not a fan of the 24hr/GMT arrangement. I find myself wearing the 104 on a daily basis. The countdown bezel appeals to me.

I have the 104 and it’s a favorite. I’ll probably eventually add the 105. Some days I like the handset, some days I don’t.

 

104 (matte) for me. Classic Sinn pilot watch aesthetics, ultra versatile and looks great on bracelet/NATO/leather/canvas.

I'm not a fan of the 105's hands, indices or date window.

 

I voted with my wallet for the 104. I prefer its handset, dial markers, and bezel over the 105.

 

The handset was the clincher for me.

 

If it were my money, I would get a 105. While I generally like the 104 fine, and no offense to owners and fans, I don't care for the horizontal day-date complication at the 3 o'clock. Additionally, and contrary to some whom have responded already, I also prefer the markers and hands of the 105 series.

The next problem for me would be deciding between the UTC and non-UTC 105. While I generally dislike (again no offense) the day complication on most watches, I actually don't mind at all the stacked vertical 6 o'clock implementation on the non-UTC. I don't think I would ever really make use of the day complication, and I would also rarely make use of the UTC as I don't travel a lot. So, would I prefer the cleaner 3-hand approach of the non-UTC at the expense of the day complication I don't mind but don't need, or the cleaner dial approach of the UTC at the expense of the extra hand that I also don't really need. If they made a non-UTC 3-hand with or without date but no day complication, then it would just be a matter of picking a dial colour!

 

Agree entirely. 105 with 12-hour bezel with date only at 6 o'clock would be a no brainer, at least for me.

 

I don't own any Sinn. I like the cleaner dial on the 105. But I like the version of the 104 with numerals.

 

Sinn uses two different font sizes for the numerals on the 104 bezel. That makes it a hard pass and impossible to unsee for me.

 

Not sure if you’re set on a black dial, but just in case you aren’t, I just got the white 105 for my birthday. Tried some straps and landed on a bright orange one with white stitching from Slipstream Straps on Etsy. Killer combo, I really like it to Provide some contrast to my blue (Sinn 6068b) and dark grey (Tudor black bay) dial watches.

 

105 just arrived this week. Love it. Heavily considered both the 105 St Sa and 104 St Sa on bracelets. I wanted a bracelet but was leary about the polished H link, found the 105 to be more legible, and the dual function 12hr and dive bezel are ideal. I got the 105 used for what I feel was an excellent price so may attempt to pick up a 104, maybe even on a strap or the matte version.

 

Swapped out the bracelet for this 👇 to add a dash of colour.

 

I wish the UTC was lumed…
I also really like the polished case of the 104 (and 103) — I think it fits with that 60s pilot aesthetic, and I think the polish actual hides eventual marks and blemishes pretty well.

 

105 St Sa UTC is just the unusual quirky Sinn to me. Toolish, stylish and great readability.
Gotta love this orange UTC hand.
