I think style is a personal choice and if you love it then go for it. It is definitely a unique look (and nothing wrong with being unique)

 

It looks good but just not my taste. That said it's your watch so wear it the way you want. I put my Nav. on a $21.00 rubber and love it so who am I to say what is wrong or right.

I am a big fan of the mesh strap and have it on my dive seiko. However, am not finding the right mesh "shade" to go with my PO or X-33. If omega made one specifically for the X-33 I would have one on right now.

It really changes the character of the watch (not in a bad way).

 

I think that's maybe why I'm drawn to it. It's a nice change of pace!

 

to me, i think of mesh bracelets as a diving style, so I feel there is some dissonance there. it isn't bad, but doesn't look as "right"as it could.

I am a big fan of Omega divers on mesh and, I think it works on that Speedy also. No harm, no foul!

I think your speedy would look better on a different strap/bracelet, but that doesn't mean it looks bad on the mesh... quite the contrary, in my view. I have yet to see a speedy look BAD on any strap or bracelet.

I love it with the panda dial

 

I think it's ok, but the most important thing is that you like it. Who cares what I think lol.

JB Champion Mesh was good enough for Astronauts. Diving / Shark Mesh, not so much on a Speedmaster due to the non taper IMO.

I didn't expect to like it at all when I saw the thread title, but I was mistaken, it looks really sharp!

 

Seconded. Not my style, but if you like it that's all that matters.

 

I like the vintage looking JB Champion mesh bracelets, especially when combined with the metal clip on calendars. Now that is a vintage cool combo that I could support 100%. I like yours too and think the Speedy looks good on most anything. When I think mesh, my mind doesn't instantly go diver like a lot of people are stating.

 

A fine Milanese mesh works well with the vintage look of the watch. I had mine on a Vollmer mesh all summer and got a lot of compliments from fellow watch-nerds at work. Don't have a pic handy. I don't think a thicker shark mesh works for the Speedy.

 

I wear mine on mesh every now and then just to switch it up. Gives it quite a different look. I enjoy having options.
