Sully Watch - does anyone have any information about this watch?

Hi,

Firstly hello, this is my first post, have been sneaking around in the background for a while and you seem to know your stuff, hence registering and this post!

My lovely fiancee bought me this watch for my birthday a couple of years ago. I've never worn a watch before, or any other kind of jewellry but I love it. It's not great at keeping time, the second hand is a bit wonky and the strap is breaking but I still adore it. Now I want to find out a bit more about it. It's made by a company called Sully, but a guy who did a quick repair on it last year said this was likely to just be a brand-name put on an unbranded swiss watch. It's a 17 jewel incabloc movement, but beyond what is printed on the face, I don't know anything about it.

Has anyone seen an indetical/similar watch? I assume it's from the 50's going by the design, but I'd love to know for sure. Also, is it likely to be a cheap and cheerful, fairly basic watch churned out in large numbers, or something a bit rarer/more special. I don't care about the price, I'd never sell it, but if it was valuable I might need to insure it. What I'm really after is any information on it, whether it's well though of as a maker/movement/etc..., how old it is, and anything else people might know about it!

Have attempted to post some pictures too....I hope they work.

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Nick

I have a "Sully" Watch with the original strap. It needs winding every 12 hours. It says Sully 11116 Swiss Made on the back. It was my Father's, given to him by his Father, when my Father returned from WWII. It still goes and keeps good time. I would be very grateful to learn more about it. Photos help.

Also, Sully as a brand was not well-known as a watchmaker so information may be limited. I presume you have tried an internet search engine. Maybe this thread is what you found when you searched? I guess the 13 years since it was created and last commented upon could be considered a clue that information may not be available. Good luck!
