Swapping out a Seamaster bracelet for a different style

Hi all, I haven’t been on here since 2008 when I got my Omega 2264.50.00 after researching on here (through a DC jeweler who offered a nice forum discount if anyone remembers that). I’m now looking to change the look a bit and switch the bracelet to the more common Seamaster one (pictures below of my current watch and new bracelet desired). I called Omega parts today and they told me that bracelets are not interchangeable on different watch models, even if same width. Is this true? I figured they should be pretty standard.
Anyhow, if someone can direct me to a bracelet in the style below that will fit my watch I would greatly appreciate it!
***Updated question: Can anyone confirm that bracelet 1515/816 will fit my SMP 2264.50? It appears to be a more updated version of bracelet 1503/825?

The newer bracelets of that style won’t fit the older watch cases like yours, but Omega did make bracelets in that style for that case. For example, the bracelet from a 2531.80 would fit your 2264.50 without a problem. There is a specific model number for the bracelet but I can’t remember it and don’t have one handy.

The lug widths are the same (20mm) but the newer watches have thicker cases and beefier lugs which means the bracelet end links aren’t compatible. Also, I think the holes in the lugs are in slightly different locations.

Hope this helps. Not sure I’ve explained it well after a long travel day.

Very helpful, thank you!

Wanted your guys opinion. I got a seamaster on the rubber strap and want a steel bracelet. I don’t want to spend $500-800 on the oem. I’m considering one of these three

Forstner president
Forstner Flat Link
An eBay Replica of OEM ($45 or $300)

Leaning toward the replica or the president.

My opinion: as close to OEM as you can, maybe go with the expensive replica.
Source: I love my Seamaster steel bracelet! I was expecting to hate it (design, weight, etc) and swap straight away for the rubber strap. End result, the rubber strap was worn for like a couple of hours and now rests in my drawer forever

If the 1515/816 is the bracelet for the non-wave ceramic Seamaster then it will fit. Years ago I had a 2264.50 and put that exact bracelet on it. It fit like it was made for the watch. I personally liked the screwed links and clasp better than the speedy style on the 2264.

My only regret is that I sold the 2264.50, I think I originally bought it for like $1000.

I believe it will, since that came on the SMP ceramic non-wave dial watches if I am not mistaken, which are pre-2018. My understanding is that anything made for a pre-2018 Seamaster will fit the 2264 case, and that is how Forstner distinguishes which of their offerings fits which watches.
