I had that watch with the silver dial. Flipped it because it wasn't really me (+was the last in a spree of impulse purchases and something had to go). It was big, solid and felt well made. Worth $795? Not in a million years. Worth $78? Definitely.
If you do get it take care resizing the bracelet. I didn't have any trouble but the guy I bought it off said he'd cross threaded a couple of the screws.

As someone once said on this very forum . . . they are neither "Swiss" nor "legendary".

I had that watch. Big honkin' chunka watch. I liked until the end-link detached from the watch. I wasn't trying to change the band or anything. Just picked it up and it started flopping around. Couldn't fix it so I threw it out. Only paid $60 for it, so i wasn't that angry.

Your mileage may vary.

Exactly.

Swiss Legend is similar to Invicta, and is sold in a lot of the same channels. If you buy one, it's a crapshoot. If you get a good one, you've bought a lot of watch for very little money. But if you get a bad one, you're in for a headache and some cash down the drain.

Lots of people like them.

I haven't tried one on that I liked (they don't fit my wrists well) and I'm not crazy about their styling. YMMV, of course.

They seem to be fairly well made, (mostly) inexpensive watches - at least they don't hype their stuff like it's made of unobtanium.

Ignore the silly MSRPs on stuff like that. IMO, they're decent buys when on sale and you are getting just about what you pay for.

If you like it, pick one up. As long as it hasn't been sized, they can usually be returned for full credit, minus shipping.

The watch that you are looking at is a decent timepiece. I have the same watch with the silver dial and blued hands. That specific watch is robust enough that I would think it difficult for Swiss Legend to screw up. I will add that, from my personal experiences, Swiss Legend as a brand seems to be extremely hit and miss. That GMT watch must be one of their success stories because they have been coming out with an endless number of versions of that specific watch lately.

Nothing wrong with Swiss Legend as long as you know what you are purchasing, a far east made watch with a Swiss Movement. Some call them Swaisan.

I bought my dad the Tungsten Chrono and he loves it. Mind you this is a man who gave me a Rolex President when I graduated from law school. He is a chef and beats his watches up so the tungsten is awesome.

I actually plan on getting the Tungsten Auto eventually as a beater. For 200 bucks on WOW or other deal of the day sites it is a good deal IMHO. The CL-888 movement while not really Swiss like a ETA 2824 still keeps decent time. I have one in a zodiac oceanaire and no problems.
