Timex Marlin Reissue Quality/Durability?

Tried posting this in the Public Forum, but I might have better luck here.

These have been out for quite a few years now. Since the release in 2017, I have occasionally given these a look, but always shied away due to the cheap movement and reviews claiming QC issues.

I am wanting to see if anyone can share their experiences with the Marlin reissues (the 34mm hand wind versions). Do they tend to hold up long term, or should I once again put this watch out of my mind?

I have had mine since it came out and it’s been fine.

It only gets worn occasionally though, but if it’s anything like the original (My first watch aged 11) it should take a licking, and keep on ticking.

The new 34mm Marlins have a $20 Seagull ST6 based movement I would expect better durability from the automatic Marlins with the Miyota. My mechanical Times only gets worn occasionally and should be fine but as an every day watch if it lasted a year or two I would be happy.

I have three watches with this movement.

I bought the black dial one a few years ago. The crown popped out the first time I tried to set it and I had to return it for a new one. The new one was fine, but sold it because it was a little too small for me. It is a very light watch, and doesn't feel very substantial.
