Timex used to own Laco?

I didn't know this until recently, but Timex actually owned Laco and Durowe (which is now owned by Stowa) at one point. I did a full write-up here if anyone's interested. Through the movement-maker DUROWE, Timex, Laco, ETA, and Stowa are all intertwined. Pretty interesting stuff. And of course, the old ads are cool, too.

yes. mainly purchased for their electric/electronic movement technologies, all pre-quartz of course. here is a backset electric from 1962, german made. and yes, @StufflerMike has mentioned and elaborated on this with authority countless times. they made some beautiful pieces together.

The '60 400 with west germany durowe next to the '61 400 japan. The radial dial is quite nice. Both still run great.
