Dolphins coach seems to wear a Breitling (for Bentley) pretty much all the time. In rose gold and on the bracelet no less. Quite a statement for a guy in a sport where not to many coaches stand out.

I have noticed the same, although considering the location of the team I would say he's on par with the local flavor.

 

I've noticed Boone wearing several different Oris over the years.

 

That's because he's a brand ambassador

 

I was going to point out that actual football managers ( in Europe or South America, at least) might be your best chance to see nice pieces. I suspect the average American gridiron coach would have a G-Shock or something...

 

Oh, almost forgot... Quite a few WIS have expressed disgust that an athlete or entertainer might wear a nice watch... some of them seem almost ready to drop a brand because of it.

 

Indeed. I personally express disgust towards Dave Roberts for wearing a Panerai. I like panerai, but cannot stand the idiocy he brought to the Dodgers…

I’ve also seen him wear a bronze BB, and what looked like a Sub a few years ago.

 

Good stuff so far. Keep it coming! How about Cricket managers and Australian Rules Football coaches? Keep digging for more! I'm not an LA Dodgers fan, but I saw Dave Roberts wearing an IWC Big Pilot Mohave earlier this year.

 

How big a deal is IWC compared to, say, Rolex? I see a few entires here already.

In Major League Baseball (MLB) the managers are prohibited from wearing smartwatches or fit-bit type watches during games. I do not follow the NY Yankees, but in tonight's press briefing after their loss it looked like manager Aaron Boone was wearing an Oris.

 

Hopefully his last press conference as a Yankee...

On MNF, I just noticed female referee, Sarah Thomas, wearing what appears to be a Timex Ironman.

 

I remember watching the NFL draft last year and they were interviewing Andy Reid and he was wearing a Timex Ironman

I submit that Nick Sabin is the ultimate coach. This is based on his record - his percentage of seasons coached in which he won the sport’s championship. I know of no coach with a better percentage of winning the championship. Looks like he wears a Fossil.

It’s interesting how much more common and how much nicer the watches European coaches wear vs the US..

I guess it’s pretty much the same as the general population but still crazy how dramatic the difference is.

Sean McDermott wears a G-Shock G-7900. Not even the solar/atomic version of this model. Nice restraint for a guy who could buy almost anything haha.
