Hi folks,
I've been on the lookout for my next special watch and have always had a soft spot for pilot/military/dirty-dozen. designs, but I must admit that the Vertex only recently came up on my radar (thanks to Georges Bamford's mention of the brand on the #1 watch podcast in Iceland, "About Effing Time").
This was a few weeks ago, and the image of those raised hour marker blocks made of X1 has imprinted itself in my retina quite strongly. To the point where I'm telling myself this was the modern re-interpretation of the dirty-dozen I could see myself staring at with endless fascination in daytime or night-time.
But as always, the question is ... would that fascination really be endless.
Maybe, after all, an exhibition case back, anachronistic as it would be, is really what would capture my fascination and what I'm looking for in my next long-term wrist companion. I've never had a movement to look at, and it's still very high on my wishlist for said next companion.
So I'd love to hear from folks who might own or have owned the M100, but also the M60 (because that looks like the proper re-interpretation of a no-date submariner): how did you enjoy your time with your Vertex? What made you part ways if you did? Was it the "novelty" of anything that wore off? Or the wearing experience?
Seeing posts from recent sellers like @JorgeB (who's had the pleasure of owning both the C60 and the M100 it seems!) , @smalleq or @Landocleveland - would love to hear opinions of folks with hands on experience.
Many thanks for the input!
