Yes, and no.

When the battery is on "low" the battery indicator will read "low" and some of the functions will start to not work on the watch until you recharge the battery.

It doesn't start to blink or beep.

If that's the kinda "low battery warning" you're looking for.

 

I'm sorry, I just realized you're talking about the DW5600 G-Shock not the GW5600J G-shock.

I don't think there is a battery indicator on it at all on those watches because they're not solar powered.

I think you have to just go by how long you had the battery in the watch for and estimate it.

 

No, it does not have an EOL (End of Life Indicator). But you can tell when the battery is starting to run out. The EL will get very dim when the light button is pressed. If the battery continues to die even further, the display will go blank when the light button is pressed, and there will be no light. Then the whole module will die as the battery goes completely dead.

No big worries. It can take over a year for the battery to die after the light starts to go dim. So you have a ton of time to change the battery.

 

You can use the backlight as an indicator. When it quickly fades out you know it's time for a new battery.

Forget the light being dim or not working at all - my vintage 5600-901 flashes a battery indicator when battery is low... It says 'REM' beside it.. Hope that info is helpful.

That's not a low battery indicator, it's the 'Reminder' function - set by pressing the lower right button, if I remember correctly.

 

Came across an offer I could not refuge. An DW 5600 Timecatcher at a price -50% retail price here in Holland. I got the last one for sale.:-!
