Watch bug

Hi guys

would not call myself a watch collector but I have a tag f1, really like it and I have just purchased a hamilton pan europ and I love it.

had been looking around for watch ideas/opinions prior to purchase on this site it was really helpful. I will probably make a biggish purchase in a couple years but I have the bug now.

circumstances dictated where I bought my last watch which limited my choice to mainstream/high street brands. I live in scotland.

Certina ds square chrono really caught my eye, steinhart pilot watch and a g.gerlach watch caught my eye. So I will probably get one of these ones next year.

Any other watch makers out there who make really good watches but don't cost the earth that you guys would recommend. From this site steinhart and g.gerlach appear to have the reputation of making watches that are of a slightly higher quality than a lot of similar priced watches but are less well known to guys like me who have a passing interest.

i know it's all about personal choice etc but I love the idea of getting a great looking quality watch at a keen price. Watches are for wearing not to be coveted. My dream watch is a tag monaco blue face btw. I know there probably are better watches but I just love the look

You could say that about any of us, but I don't think it's fair. It's a hobby like any other.

Seeing you like steinhart pilot check out timefactors speedbird. Eddie who runs it is in the UK I believe. Really good value for an iwc homage.

Then save up for the monaco.

Fyi flipping watches gets expensive. Advice is to go with your gut and if that means saving for a year then do it. Your wallet and heart will be in a happier place
