Watch Stores to visit in Hong Kong?

I’m visiting Hong Kong for the first time this week, and I was wondering if there are any good watch stores I should visit? There seem to be a ton that I saw in Central just driving from the airport, but not sure if any of them are particularly notable.

I like AP, Rolex, and some independents. I have an appointment at one of the AP Houses here, and was going to try to drop in on the FP Journe boutique if I could get a spot. Any other suggestions?

I’m staying in Central, but will be venturing to Kowloon side at some point.

Thanks in advance!

PS. restaurant and bar recs also much appreciated!

As @Stchambe said, plenty of people have asked and there's been a lot said.

Dealers are mostly found along Nathan Rd the main thoroughfare through Kowloon, Tsim Tsa Tsui.

For places to see and do, nothing much really interestingto me.... 😔

For meals, maybe try street side food places known as Tai Pai Tong.

Having said that, I used to travel there often for work but haven't been there since 1997.

Just go out on the street. There's so many watch stores it's crazy. Like the Grand Seiko AD that's at Chungking Mansions (which in the US is like having it at the front entrance of a slumlord's apartment building). Personally I find shopping for watches all along Nathan (and a few blocks either way) more enjoyable than around Central. But you'll walk next to some little dinky store selling old clothing and the store that shares the wall next will be a store with the kind of Breguets and Cartiers your boutique in LA wishes they could get. And then the myriad of small shops littered everywhere from shopping districts to apartment complexes to just randomly anywhere that sell cheaper watches.

And of course there's the major "malls" like IFC, ICC, 1881, etc.

Honestly though, if this is your first time in HK see something else than western watches. And don't hang around the western touristy stuff on Hong Kong Island. Kowloon and NT are much better.

Of course there's this too. Don't know how easy it is to get in though.

The ticket prices are nuts. What we pay for economy now is what people used to pay for business not that long ago…

I know this makes me a ****ty millennial, but I really want to cut back on travel as much as I can this year and the next. But not sure that I can…
the more you cut back on travel, the more watches you can buy (this argument did not work much with my gf, just saying)
