Weishi 1900 timegrapher - will it scratch the case?

Just bought a Weishi timegrapher to keep track of my watches' performance.

I'm not a watchmaker and have no interest in opening up my watches for adjustment, I bought it mainly for the novelty and as a way to help determine when my watches might need servicing.

I'm concerned it will scratch the case. Just curious what others have done to prevent scratching. I was just going to wrap tape around the metal holders.

Thanks!

Yes, it can leave marks on a highly polished case if not careful. I simply place an eyeglass cleaning cloth under any watch with such a case. It does not interfere with microphone pickup.

Oh, and to the OP: Glad you got a 1900.
I started out with a 1000, and outgrew it in two weeks.
The 1900 does 7 across sampling, and does fractional seconds. It's so much easier to adjust a watch or check the function of a watch when you can see it as 7.6 s/d instead of just 7 or 6.
Plus, it has greater resolution, color, and two display modes.
For some reason, most people don't think it's wirth the $50 upgrade. The 100 oversells the 1900 at least 10:1.
