matt or sunray ?

 

I currently own both the Sunray and the Iconic Professional in the 200T. They are both great, but the classic "Iconic" is my favorite.

 

I'm partial to the black or white. I know Doxa = orange, but I had a clomage of the 300t in orange, and it very quickly got sold. Too bright for me to wear other than the odd day during the summer when I was feeling "froggy".

 

I want to love original orange the most. But I don’t. For ME, matte carribean blue or sharky black.

 

The original orange for me although I think I’d swap my 300T Whitepearl for the 200T Whitepearl.

 

Orange, orange, ORANGE for my vote. Classic Doxa, IMHO.

 

I know that the orange is the classic, but I'm going to switch it up and vote for Caribbean Blue.

 

If it's on someone else's wrist or in a photo, the orange professional is my favorite. Having owned an orange watch, I'm not sure that one is for me.

I'm trying to resist the siren call of the sharkhunter or searambler...colors I'd be more likely to wear more often but still with the orange accents.

I do not like how the second hand colour contrasts with the colour of the minute and hour hands on some models - so that cuts out the Caribbean, Sea rambler and Sharkhunter.

Also not keen on the shinier dials preferring matt.

So I voted for the Orange professional and Whitepearl. The yellow one would be the third choice.

Whilst I do like the Orange and Yellow - if it was me then ultimately I would probably choose the white pearl as I cannot see myself wearing an orange or yellow watch even though they look pretty good.

I agree. All hands white, aka the Whiteshark, looks better.

I think classic silver for this one. Given the size, this watch has a great vintage vibe. White dials seem to have been more popular then. I think the classic Doxa silver takes a plain white dial and makes it unique in a way that suites a diver. I also think the 200's size makes this one more versatile, casual, vs a bold orange Doxa. Orange I think best suites large watches. So silver it would be for me.

The first Doxa I wanted was a 1200 silver. But they were sold out by the time I decided to order one. Of course Doxa defines and owns orange, so that was what I ordered. Last one I was told. Eventually I bought a silver 300. But live, in person, and on my wrist, it just didn't look right. So I flipped it. Partly it was how the box crystal looked in person: shrinks the dial to much. But the orange minute hand was also a big minus. I found it detracted from legibility. Just my opinion. With a flat dial and black minute hand however ...

I am thinking of ordering the Caribbean Sunray. I like the touch of orange on the bezel matches the orange minute hand.

 

my wife has it, it is quite nice. The sunray dial looks great on the 200T.

 

I have been lucky to own pro’s, sharkhunters, Caribbean and searamblers - so this time I went with (and voted) aquamarine and should be here sometime next week 👍🏻

that being said, if someone said you have to pick one for the rest of your life and no going back and forth it would be the pro.

Seems I have preference in Caribbean Blue...

 

So far I've owned several Pros, a couple Searamblers, a NUMA blue, and a vintage Sharkhunter. I'm boring, and the Searambler is probably my favorite. Oddly (because she doesn't have ANY interest in watches) this past weekend my wife saw me looking at these new 200t's on my phone, and decided she NEEDS one. She loves the colors. She was torn between yellow and aqua, so we went to the local AD over the weekend, and while they didn't have the 200t, they did have the colors she wanted to see, and ultimately decided on the Aqua. We ordered the Aquamarine Sub 200t with both strap and bracelet.
