I know I'm late and this model has been out for a few years now, but I would really like to get hold of a GMW-B5000TB-1. Are my best bets eBay - and on here? Is there anywhere else I should be keeping an eye on?

Thanks.

From here: CASIO GMW-B5000TB-1CR Titanium G-Shock | eBay

From here: Casio 2023 RESTOCK SALE CASIO G Shock GMW-B5000TB-1DR Titanium... for $2,486 for sale from a Trusted Seller on Chrono24

And from here: Amazon.com: G-Shock Casio GMW-B5000TB-1JR Origin Radio Solar Men's Watch (Japan Domestic Genuine Products) : Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry

And before you say it. No, you're not going to find it for cheap (maybe you could try your luck on the eBay auction) as it is a discontinued model and a titanium square with more demand than supply.

It seems to be available from CASIO Singapore for S$1,999, :

* That's a better price, for a new watch, than many listings on eBay for used ones

* I don't know if CASIO Singapore ships internationally, though, but I think is worth a try

There you go.

I’ve been on the lookout for one of these so have been watching a few eBay auctions over the last few weeks to get an idea on how much they are selling for.

One of the sellers contacted me last night with an offer on one that is brand new in box. I thought the price seemed fair and everything looked in order on the pictures shown in the listing.

It was only when I started checking the buyer that alarm bells started ringing. He has a great feedback score and was also located in the UK so no import costs but when looking through the comments I noticed he had already sold eight of the exact same model watch in the last 12 months. That seems a very suspicious for a limited production product from five years ago that is still sought after.

If Casio Singapore are selling them, perhaps this ebay seller is bulk importing?

I think I know the seller you're talking about as I've nearly purchased myself but I spend too long procrastinating and the prices just keep going up.

The 'DR' on the model code suggests it's from SE Asia so that could be where they are from.

The original listed price was quite high but he came in with an offer that was £280 lower.

Seems like a scam. Stay away.
Yeah, it's a lot of money to take a chance when the confidence isn't there.
